flocculation assay results

One of my clients is developing an IV formulation of their drug candidate in a 20% PEG400/saline vehicle.  They did an in vitro blood compatibility screen with rat blood (hemolysis assay with whole blood and serum and plasma flocculation assays).  To my surprise the vehicle caused a precipitate with rat plasma in the flocculation assay.  It appears that PEG400 is a fairly common IV vehicle – does anyone else have flocculation assay results with this vehicle and if so what did you find?  Thanks!
