Specialties
Design and technical management of pre-clinical inhalation toxicity studies. Assist with selection of CROs. Provides a technical link for internal and external communications for inhalation toxicology related issues. Design and fabrication of specialty equipment for the inhalation laboratory, e.g., whole-body and nose-only exposure systems, test material generation and analytical systems, automated monitoring and control systems and computer validation of such systems. Staff training in aerosol technology and inhalation laboratory operations. Conduct literature surveys and reviews. Prepare and/or review study protocols and reports.
Experience
Over 40 years of experience working in the specialized area of inhalation toxicology, with more than 20 years spent directing the inhalation programs for three of the largest CROs in the United States. Designed 3 inhalation facilities. Served as Study Director for hundreds of studies from acute through lifetime chronic. These studies have included all types of materials from pharmaceuticals to industrial chemicals, in the form of gases, vapors or aerosols, including microbiological aerosols, and in species from mice to non-human primates.
