Experience
Over 30 years experience in research, testing, and consulting in the areas of toxicology, genetic toxicology, and chemical carcinogenesis. 120 scientific publications. Mentored 13 postdoctoral fellows at the Chemical Industry Institute of Toxicology (CIIT). Served as Head of the Department of Genetic Toxicology with responsibilities for guiding the research program in the areas of, mutagenesis, cell transformation, cytogenetics and DNA repair. Also served as Manager of the Cancer Program where I directed research on developing tissue-specific DNA repair assays, nongenotoxic mechanisms in carcinogenesis, chemically-induced cell proliferation, oncogene expression, and the use of transgenic animal cancer models. Current consulting practice includes major international clients in the pharmaceutical and chemical industry as well as government agencies.
